Application Materials

Please follow these steps below to complete your child's Holy Spirit School Application Packet for the 2026-2027 School Year. Steps 1 and 2 must be completed for the application to be entered into the admissions queue with the understanding that the required documents in Step 3 will be received directly from your child's current school within a reasonable timeframe.

STEP 1: Holy Spirit School utilizes the Arlington Diocese Catholic School Application for admissions. Please complete this online application HERE and select Holy Spirit School as your first choice.

STEP 2: Gather the following documents, scan and submit online to Holy Spirit School with the $100/applicant non-refundable application fee utilizing the appropriate Admissions Portal (to the right). Please name each of your files with your child's first and middle initials, last name, and the name of the document (Example: JMDoe_birthcertificate).

  • Copy of birth certificate (original to be presented upon acceptance)
  • Copy of Catholic sacramental certificates – Baptism, First Communion, First Reconciliation, Confirmation (if applicable)
  • Proof of custody or guardianship (if applicable)
  • Copies of IEP, 504 Plan, Student Assistance Plan, Speech and Language Evaluation, Psycho-educational test results, Special Ed Child Study, Special Ed Eligibility Date from base school and Special Ed Triennial (if applicable)
  • Completed Pre-Kindergarten Parent Questionnaire (Pre-K applicants only):

STEP 3: Submit the following documents to your child's current school:

STEP 4: Upon acceptance, submit the following:

  • A non-refundable enrollment fee is required to hold a student’s spot for the coming academic year. The fee for the 2026-27 school year will be determined in January and included in your acceptance letter.
  • Copy of current Immunization Record
  • Commonwealth of Virginia School Entrance Health Form must be sent to the school office no later than August 1st. Failure to do so may delay entrance into Holy Spirit School.

K-8 ADMISSIONS

Supporting documents and the application fee for Kindergarten-8th Grade applications may be submitted here. Please submit separately for each applicant.

Pre-K ADMISSIONS

Supporting documents and the application fee for Pre-Kindergarten applications may be submitted here. Please submit separately for each applicant.
