5K Spirit Run 2023!

Dear friends of the 5K Spirit Run,
The start of the 5K Spirit Run season has started with the 2023 race t-shirt design contest. We are so proud of all of our student artists who participated. You caught a look at the winning design when you “clicked” to get here!
Thank you to all who participated in 2022 by walking, running, cheering, donating, volunteering, and praying for us. Again, congratulations to our first-place overall winner and Holy Spirit School class of 2016 alumnus Sajiv Gnanasekaran. Unfortunately, we had some problems with our timing last year, so this year we will use CommonwealthTiming Company to keep the race times. We hope to be able to award medals to those who place in their race categories after the run is complete.
This will be our 8th year of holding the 5k Spirit Run and every year it has had its own challenges, however, every year our school and parish community never fails to make the morning special because our school is special. We hold this race in order to raise money to help financially support our Resource Program. Our Resource Team continues to provide academic support for students with mild to moderate learning disabilities, Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, Intellectual disabilities, and other special needs in an academically inclusive Catholic environment. Holy Spirit School has been a leader in academic inclusive education in our diocese for many years due to the services our Resource Program provides. Our Reading Resource services continue to grow by not only providing specific reading interventions, but by holding small reading groups for students who have been identified as benefitting from early reading intervention. Our Resource team supports the whole Holy Spirit school community in some way.
The 2023 5K Spirit Run will have an in-person 5k route starting at Holy Spirit School, but you will also be able to participate virtually if you choose. The link is below to register for the race.
